    Title:
Finding out when a record was last viewed
    Summary:

    Hey Trackvia Team!

Question - is there any way to see when a record was last viewed?  Not by a specific user (though if it must be done that way, ok) but in general.  I need to be able to see when the last time a record was accessed.

The purpose of that is - I want to run a filter that shows me all records viewed by my company within the last... oh I don't know, year?  Then I can make sure that all of our contacts who are being used, stay in the database, and the ones that aren't getting accessed, get canned.

We don't record when each record is viewed but we do store the Updated Date.  You'll find this field towards the top of the record detail screen and can create a custom view that shows you all records that were updated in the last week, month, year, etc.  This is reset not only for any changes to the data but also for any notes that are made.  If you make it a company policy that everyone must enter a note when a record is viewed you will then be able to retrieve these types of statistics.

I wish they would do something like that.  It's not something that my brokers are ever going to really do.  They don't really use or understand Trackvia beyond "that program that has our clients phone numbers in it" and they do pretty good just to look someone up.  I hope that at some point the "last accessed date" can be added, but until then, I'll see what I can do about talking them through it.  The real issue is that in our office, only a few of us really see the value in the database and the data contained in it.  Everyone else is too busy thinking about other things to mess with it beyond looking up a simple phone number.  They just don't care.
