Is there a way to make a copy of an existing database? Data, structure, views, etc? Or any combination? I think that would be really helpful. I could download and re-upload the data, but I'd lose the views, etc.

Thanks,
Jason

You'll find these enhancements by clicking on the "more options" link towards the bottom when setting or editing an alert.

With any alert you set up you can now set a custom subject on the email that is sent that can even include fields from the database to indicate what needs to be done. For Example: if you have an alert which emails your billing department supervisor each time a new expense report comes in you can now have the subject of the email say "Susie filed a new expense report you must approve or deny". With this possibility the recipients of the email can now be told exactly why they are receiving an email alert and what they need to do to the record.

You can also now remove the actual details of the record if you would like to get a simple email that alerts you to a change. This is for those cases where a simple alert is sufficient or when you want to not send the information from your database to the recipient.

With many customers using TrackVia for storing appointments we have been asked if this could be made to integrate into Outlook and we're happy to say that this is also now available. When setting an alert you will now see an option to include a calendar attachment. This really only makes sense in databases you are storing appointments because it will require a date or date and time field to use for creating the calendar entry. With this enabled you will receive an attachment with the alert that when saved will create an entry in your Outlook calendar that will use the first date or date and time field as the time for the appointment. For Example: if you have a database of appointments you can use alerts to notify each person when an appointment is made for them that will include a calendar attachment which allows them to easily add this to their Outlook or Google calendar with a click of a button.

These were both enhancements made based off of feedback received from current customers and we'd appreciate any other suggested enhancements.

Thanks for the great support by the way!

I've been using the parent lookup relational field, but I'm not completely satisfied with the results.
This is what I've been doing so far:

I have a parent database containing tools' descriptions and specs, for example:
FAMILY SPECS
Shackles 1/4 Ton
Shackles 1/2 Ton
Sling Savers 12 1/2 Ton
Eye Bolts M30
Eye Bolts M16
... and so on

In the child database I have a link to parent record field (called ITEM1). This field is linked to the previous parent database using the field "FAMILY".

Then I have a calculated short answer with the following formula: parentlookup("ITEM1", "SPECS"). Here I'll get the specs according with the order that I follow when choosing the families. For example if I chose the first line I'll get 1/4 Ton, if I chose the second line I'll get 1/2 Ton.

Is there anyway to get a dropdown list showing all the specs for the same family? I mean, every time I choose Shackles (don't matter if it is the 1st or the 2nd row) I would be able to see both 1/4 Ton and 1/2 Ton.

Thank you in advance.
